Summary
Suffolk Stoves Limited based in Middleton, are looking for an Assistant Fireplace installer to work alongside our OFTEC engineer. As an assistant you will be carrying out all tasks involved with installing fireplaces, and wood / multi-fuel burners.
This is an exciting chance to learn, and gain experience in a trade. As well as a great opportunity to become a OFTEC/HETAS registered professional in the future.
To apply for this position you must have experience and practical skills in building works or associated trades. The ideal candidate would be polite, well presented, and hands on, displaying a strong initiative and an ability to work well alongside a seasoned professional. You would need to have a high quality of neat and tidy workmanship, and be willing to learn.
The role will be to assist our OFTEC qualified installer with the installation of all types of wood burning and multi-fuel appliances. We also install flue linings, chimney systems and both contemporary and traditional high quality fireplaces and associated products. You will see first hand your colleagues work standards and skills set and this will provide you with the very best opportunity to learn and develop your own potential within the industry. In return as a trainee stove & fireplace installer, we can offer you hands on experience to learn the skills required to install our complete range of high end products.
This role would suit anyone with construction experience, looking to develop their career and skill set and to eventually qualify as a registered professional installer.

Experience is preferred but not necessary
The chosen Candidate must be comfortable with working at heights and heavy lifting

Job requires manual labour and heavy lifting
Brick laying, rendering and plastering experience advantageous but not required

License:
Full UK Driving License and own transport required
CSCS Card advantageous, but not essential
