Female Support Worker – Long Eaton

Part time – 30 hours per week

We are looking for people to join our friendly and welcoming team in Long Eaton service which comprises of 1 supported living service with 2 ladies. This is a great opportunity to enhance people’s lives.

You will be responsible in supporting with personal care, activities and daily living task such as shopping, cleaning, cooking and medication and to attend appointments ensuring notes are written in full after. As a support worker, you will provide person-centred care to two individuals with unique needs:

Lady A requires hands-on support and clean, simple communication. You will assist her with daily tasks, offering clear instructions and ensure safety due to her epilepsy and parkinsonism. Therefore, patience, attentiveness, and the ability to break down tasks into manageable steps are essential.

Lady B requires supportive and calm environment. She is verbal but relies on reassurance and consistency to manage her emotional wellbeing. With her registered blind, you’ll help ensure her environment is organised.

Both ladies may display challenging behaviour at times, therefore you must have the ability to use effective de-escalation techniques to maintain their wellbeing.

Real Life Options offers flexible employment opportunities. Your shifts may include weekends, evenings, nights and sleepovers but general shifts run between 9:00am and 22:00pm followed by sleep ins. Some shifts are from 9:00am to 15:00pm when 1:1 hours are taking place but can vary depending on needs and activities that are planned.

Previous experience is desirable for this position although full training will be provided.
