IT Manager – Full time

Full Time: 37.5 hours

Location: Cannock with travel to other sites

Salary: £38,000 per annum

At Newlife, our mission is to change the lives of disabled children and their families. We provide access to vital equipment,
offer information and support through dedicated healthcare professionals, sponsor medical research into birth defects, and
advocate for change through our campaigns.

We are not like any other charity. All the stock in our stores is new, donated by retailers, allowing us to create a haven for
bargain hunters and savvy fashionistas who seek high street products at discount prices. Being a "Newlifer" is special, and our
team members are passionate about making a meaningful contribution.

The Opportunity:

As the IT Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the smooth running of systems,
networks, and overall infrastructure. You will manage and support the IT Support team, while also collaborating with the broader
IT team covering Operations, Project Management, Infrastructure, and Development.

The role requires significant hands-on experience in Azure, network administration, cloud infrastructure management, and IT system
management. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of Newlife’s IT services and providing a high level of
support to both technical and non-technical users across the organization.

This role may also require travel to other Newlife sites and the flexibility to work outside of standard hours to ensure the
smooth operation of IT systems during critical periods.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring effective management of IT systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
* Manage, mentor, and support the IT Support Team, ensuring support issues are resolved efficiently and SLAs are met.
* Collaborate with the Head of IT on infrastructure projects including network upgrades, cloud migrations, and system
enhancements.
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and support networking systems (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switches, and routers).
* Work closely with the Head of IT to develop Newlife’s technical roadmap for the short, medium, and long-term.
* Provide high-level support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues across the organization.
* Maintain IT asset management and ensure all systems are up-to-date and compliant with licensing and security standards.

What we are looking for:

* Strong experience managing IT systems, networking, and cloud-based infrastructure.
* Extensive knowledge of Azure administration, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
* In-depth understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
* Experience managing Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Exchange Server, and Office 365 environments.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy IT environment.
* Leadership and team management experience, with a focus on coaching and mentoring junior staff.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Relevant IT certifications (such as Microsoft certifications, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco certifications) are highly desirable.
* Knowledge of retail systems (Epos experience is an advantage) and delivering IT support to retail teams.

The Benefits:

* 23 days holiday, plus bank holidays
* Health cash plan membership post probation
* Team member store discount
* Pension scheme membership
* The satisfaction of knowing that what you do is making a difference!
