Summary

We are recruiting a Machine Operative to join our Bridgwater site. We are a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide including 6 sites in the UK. Bridgwater is our largest plant.

- £33,261.00 (Basic £30,912 + shift allowance £2349.00)
- £15.22ph (Basic £14.15ph + shift allowance £1.07p)
- £22.83ph Overtime rates after 42 hours worked
- Permanent Role
- 4 on 4 off Shift pattern –2 Days, 2 Nights 4 off – 12 hours shifts
- Day Shifts: 06:00 to 18:00 / 06:30 to 18:30 /07:00 to 19:00
- Night Shifts: 18:00 to 06:00 / 18:30 to 06:30 /19:00 to 07:00
- 22 days holiday (264 hours over the year)

As a Machine Operative, you will join the production team where you will be working on a production line and overseeing our beverage filling machine. Reporting to the Shift Manager you will work as a team to fulfil the day-to-day production targets.

Our Machine Operative use their experience on machines to ensure our production operates efficiently and deliver outputs. You will identify any machine concerns and liaise with the engineer team on more complex situations. You will oversee production changeovers, cleaning the machine to start a new beverage production, adjusting machine settings and controls for optimal performance.

NO MACHINE EXPERIENCE - Don’t worry……If you are interested but don’t have machine experience, you can still join us. We will provide all the training and get you up to speed in the first 12 months.

Machine Operative : Key responsibilities:

- Operating equipment/machinery and undertaking fault finding, changeovers including CIP where relevant, asset care, and basic machine maintenance activities.
- Management of Raw Materials in accordance with FIFO and Storage Procedures.
- Reporting any non-conformances to Company Policies/Procedures/Standards and supporting corrective action activities.
- Working as a key member of a production team, demonstrating Company Values and flexibility to support other teams/departments where required.
- Ability to meet team performance targets and required Company Standards.
- Participating in traceability exercises, product trials, and site audits/visits
- Supporting the delivery of key performance indicators for the Factory linked to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost Standards


Machine Operative : skills & attributes:

- Experience of working Machines within an FMCG environment
- Ability to problem solve, team player & a keen eye for detail.
- Great communicator with a “can do” attitude
