TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY (from November 2024)
Post: Teaching Partner
Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks per year)
Pay: NJC Grade 5 points 11-14 (salary based on full time equivalent of £25,979 - £27,334, pro rata'd)
Contract: Initially a fixed-term contract until July 2025 but very likely to be extended.
Due to increasing student numbers, Winchcombe School (part of the Balcarras Trust) is looking for an empathetic and supportive Teaching Partner (Teaching Assistant) to join our friendly SEND department in early November 2024.
Reporting to the SENDCO, the successful candidate will ideally have a qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning or previous experience of working in a secondary school.
We are a dynamic, reflective and aspirational mixed school of just over 500 students aged 11-16, located on the outskirts of a historic town near Cheltenham and surrounded by beautiful Cotswold views. The school has had improvements made to sports, science, D&T and dining facilities and was graded ‘Good’ in the most recent Ofsted inspection (2022), with praise for our high expectations, calm and purposeful behaviour and professional development for staff.
Each student is given the opportunity to maximize their potential and we are ambitious about what every child can achieve.
