Short Summary

Magentus are seeking an experienced Clinical Safety Specialist to oversee and ensure the safety and efficacy of our products. The Clinical Safety Specialist will perform key safety function across the business ensuring our products comply with the requirements of UK Standard DCB0129 Application of Patient Safety Risk Management to the Manufacture of Health Software

Key Responsibilities

Systematic review of functional design to identify potential sources of harm in by undertaking Hazard Assessments as per Magentus Clinical safety management process in compliance with DCB0129.
Working with the product managers, development teams during the development lifecycle as part of sprint reviews to drive safety within design and development.
Documenting a 'Safety Case' to demonstrate that reasonable efforts have been made to meet the ALARP principle before release of each Product and subsequent maintenance releases.
Maintenance of Magentus Hazard Registers for all products
Perform clinical risk assessment of clinical incidents raised via the Customer service desk.
Review and improve Magentus Clinical Safety Management Process to ensure this stays within compliance for DCB0129
What do I need?

Previous clinical experience and expertise in a clinical risk assessment as part of a Clinical safety function for DCB0129 within the Healthcare Software Industry
Familiarity of NHS environment, regulations and expectations is highly desirable
Previous experience in Maternity or Radiology is preferred but not essential
