Summary

We’re currently operating a hybrid working model. Due to the nature of the role, some travel may be required within Scotland and occasionally within the UK and internationally, but the role is primarily based at our BE-ST campus in Hamilton.

Join us at Built Environment – Smarter Transportation (BE-ST) as an Impact Manager to play a crucial part in our mission to accelerate the built environment’s transition to zero carbon emissions.

BE-ST is moving into its infrastructure investment phase, and we need your expertise to support us in implementing our business and bid development strategy.

You’ll be a crucial part of our next phase at BE-ST, proactively identifying, shaping and developing new opportunities. You’ll identify new sectors for opportunities for growth, exploring how we tap into these to stand out from the crowd.

At BE-ST, we collaborate across the entire built environment ecosystem, bringing together world-class academia, government bodies and industry at all levels to accelerate the transition to zero carbon. You’ll play a key role in seizing new opportunities, creating new networks and groups to unite the best knowledge, skills, tools, and people who want to achieve a more sustainable sector.

You’ll join a culture of transformation, growing our connected ecosystem to work on collaboration innovation projects which make an impact.

To help us continue to help the sector unlock its potential to find a way forward, you’ll always be keeping an eye on what’s coming through future scanning.

If you’re looking for an environment where you can take risks, experiment, and explore big ideas, this is it.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with a business development background and a successful track record of building collaborations.

You’ll be confident in prospecting and engaging with a variety of people to secure successful new collaborations, clearly articulating our mission, opportunities and inspiring them to join our zero carbon journey.

You’ll have a good understanding of the industry and excellent understanding of future developments and opportunities. Bid writing experience would be beneficial.
We’re a highly creative team in the innovation space, so we’re looking for you to bring your expertise and skills to challenge the norm and bring forward innovative ideas.

At BE-ST innovation is more than just a buzzword, it’s how we drive positive change. We’ll be looking for you to deliver a wide range of innovation projects so we’re looking for experience in project management.

If you’re interested but want to hear more, reach out to Lyndsey Brydson, Impact Programmes Director at lbrydson@be-st.build for an informal discussion about the role.
