Overview
We have new opportunities available for Senior Support Workers to join our new supported living service Edgar House based in Lindley, Huddersfield, HD3 3BB.

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Hours: full time and part time permanent contracts available working various shifts including days and waking nights to be discussed further at interview.

We are developing a new and exciting mental health supported living scheme for Adults with enduring Mental Health Illnesses (18+) in Lindley, Huddersfield. As Senior Support Worker you will be responsible for leading the staff team in delivering a service, which enables each service user to improve their mental health, and ultimately achieve their full potential. The service will provide background support 24/7 with the provision of wake-in night support.

The services will be expected to have the required level of expertise, as identified through the framework arrangements, to support individuals with varying and fluctuating levels of mental health who will have been assessed as having the potential to flourish in a supportive environment as they move towards greater levels of independence.

The service is due to open End of August/early September and full induction of staff will take place prior to opening.

Qualifications
As Senior Support Worker you will supervise staff members and delegate responsibilities ensuring values based support is delivered to the highest standard so previous experience of supervising staff in a care setting is essential. You will also have a level 3 Diploma (or equivalent qualification) in health & Social Care or be willing to work towards.

On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
