Are you a skilled MEICA Manager ready to take on a flagship project? Our client, a leading contractor in the water sector, is looking for an experienced professional to oversee the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) aspects of a high-profile water treatment project for Southern Water. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering one of the region's most critical infrastructure projects.

You will lead the MEICA teams and ensure that all systems and processes are designed, installed, and commissioned to the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the MEICA teams across all stages of the water treatment project, from design and installation to testing and commissioning.
  • Developing and implementing detailed MEICA strategies and plans, ensuring all systems align with client specifications and industry regulations.
  • Coordinating with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEICA systems within the overall project.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to monitor the progress and quality of MEICA works, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams, addressing any challenges related to MEICA systems promptly and effectively.
  • Overseeing the procurement of MEICA-related materials and equipment, ensuring all components meet project requirements.
  • Ensuring all MEICA documentation, including designs, reports, and testing records, is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Managing the commissioning and handover process, ensuring that all systems are fully operational and meet client expectations.
  • Enforcing strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations, particularly those specific to MEICA works, and promoting a culture of safety on site.
  • Supporting the development and mentorship of junior engineers within the MEICA team, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a MEICA Manager, with a strong background in water treatment projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of MEICA systems, processes, and industry standards, particularly within the water sector.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a focus on resource planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Comprehensive understanding of CDM regulations and construction Health & Safety standards.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the successful delivery of MEICA systems.
