A Cutover Manager is required to manage the workstream to develop the target operating model for the service to support the new ERP solution (SAP Cloud). Experience of procurement, including recent regulatory changes and knowledge of SAP or ARIBA are essential for this role. This is a significant role which will help the council capitalise on its new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The role holder will meticulously plan, lead and manage the activities which will safely transition business through SAP S/4 HANA and SuccessFactors implementation and go-live. The role holder will be part of the ERP leadership team and manage a range of internal staff and contractors, and partner with identified stakeholders to plan and execute the cutover activities.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare the cutover strategy to set the proposed approach and governance arrangements for the planning, rehearsing and execution of cutover and post go-live activities.
Communicate the strategy with key stakeholders across the council and partners to build understanding of the requirements, resources and timescales involved.
Partner with key members of the programme team, technical delivery partners and the business to meticulously plan the business and technical cutover activities.
Build the detailed cutover checklist in conjunction with the programme team to ensure there are the right quality gateways and decision-making points mapped in the integrated programme plan.
Plan, manage and execute a Full Dress Rehearsal (FDR) to test the cutover plan and report on the outcomes. Ensure any issues are reviewed and replanned in a final cutover plan.
Closely work with the Technical Workstream and Technical Partner to develop detailed roll back scenario’s and plans in case of serious failure/s during the cutover.
Provide overview and assurance of wider data migration activities across the programme phases to ensure all data migration activities have been adequately performed, tested and validated leading into FDR.
Liaise with the OCM workstream to ensure effective comms are produced for the duration of the cutover lifecycle.
Ensure that go-live support arrangements are planned and coordinated leading and support the transition into hypercare.

Experience:

Experience of procurement, including recent regulatory changes and knowledge of SAP or ARIBA essential.
Significant experience of planning, leading and managing ERP cutovers within a complex environment and including a significant system change.
Experience of simultaneous go-live for Finance, HR and Procurement systems.
Ideally have experience of SAP S/4 HANA, SuccessFactors and Ariba system implementations.
Experience and knowledge of data migration activities between source and target systems.
Experience of leading and developing team members for enhanced effectiveness and for future career paths.



Knowledge:

Good understanding of ICT and ERP systems.
An understanding of the technical and process dependencies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to succinctly deliver key messages to the Programme Board and broader HR stakeholders.
Ability to lead and manage a team of professionals.
