Summary

To undertake health assessments, undertake clinics, provide and evaluate a range of health treatments and interventions, to meet the childs healthcare needs and contribute to the wider continuous development of healthcare services. To plan, deliver and evaluate interventions for treatment as clinically appropriate using evidence-based models. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of health issues and treatment options to provide clinical guidance to all staff on matters relating to health and wellbeing. To ensure high standards of care are delivered in a changing healthcare environment, ensuring that the needs of the children are at the centre of practice. The post holder will work in an integrated manner within the Secure School and ensure that there is excellent communication and working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external. To participate in a flexible working arrangement which will include weekends and unsocial hours when required. To ensure processes/protocols are in place and followed for effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for those children with physical and mental health and substance misuse problems. To safeguard vulnerable children in line with the Trust and Oasis Restore safeguarding children policy. To apply local Risk Assessment and management protocols, including working closely with colleagues to ensure information in relation to risk is collected and communicated sensitively and comprehensively. To make appropriate referrals to other available services for longer term interventions. Contribute to multi-disciplinary clinical practice to provide focused and integrated care and treatment programmes/packages. Work collaboratively with staff in other teams e.g. residential and education to provide integrated and coordinated care.
