Applications are invited for the post of Post CCT Clinical Fellow in Hepato-biliary medicine. The post is based at the Wythenshawe Site of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, where we have a team of 13 consultant gastroenterologists. The department has comprehensive GI services including all therapeutic endoscopy, hepatology, PB medicine, IBD, nutrition and a tertiary referral, neurogastroenterology service.

A comprehensive and expanding endoscopy service is provided by the Trust; all diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic modalities are performed including a tertiary EUS / ERCP service. There are approximately 1,100 ERCPs performed annually and 35% of those are regional tertiary referrals. All aspects of complex biliary and pancreatic intervention are undertaken, including bilateral hilar stenting, pancreatic stricture endotherapy, endoscopic cyst-gastrostomies and Spyglass.

EUS services are rapidly expanding in tandem with ERCP demand; besides standard radial and linear EUS/FNA, we are at the cutting edge of EUS-based approaches to pancreatobiliary disease (such as EUS guided biliary access or combined EUS/ERCP biliary rendezvous procedures)
