You will work for a specialised wholesale company based in Derry. This company is an established business operating in Ireland and the UK for over 100 years with recent expansion into Europe.
Your new role
As the Accounting Technician, you will report to the Managing Director and your responsibilities will include: preparation and management of monthly invoicing and supplier payment cycles, monthly payroll ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, preparation of financial statements, support in financial analysis and reporting, assisting with year-end audit, preparation of statutory accounts, assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts and providing ad-hoc support to Senior Management when required.
What you'll need to succeed
- An Accounting Technician qualification or similar
- 2 years experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of financial accounting principlesStrong IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and own initiative and a good team player
