Summary

We are seeking an outstanding practitioner, educator, and researcher to contribute to the international and interdisciplinary ethos of the School and programme.

Position Overview:

The Senior Tutor (Research) Service Design will play a critical role in our programme. Reporting to the Head of Programme and working closely with the current team, you will:

Lead on Curriculum Development and Research-Led Teaching: Drive the development of the curriculum and integrate research-led approaches into teaching.
Provide Day-to-Day Academic Management: Ensure smooth academic operations and foster a supportive learning environment.
Encourage Critical Design-Thinking: Administer and communicate effectively to promote critical design-thinking.
Develop Programme Research Activity: Align research activities with the RCA’s strategic research plan.
Lead Research Funding Bid Development: Drive the development of research funding proposals.
Develop Networks and Relevant Partnerships: Build and maintain networks and partnerships to enhance the programme.
Promote the Programme: Represent the programme through exhibitions and other dissemination activities.
The ideal candidate will have:

A first degree in a relevant specialism.
A doctorate in relevant field
Commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
Commitment to equality of opportunity and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds.
Evidence of the ability to supervise academic work at masters and doctoral levels.
A proven record of producing research outputs of at least 3* REF quality.
A recognised international profile in a relevant specialist field.
Significant contributions as an effective teacher of postgraduate students and, through teaching, significant contributions to the advancement of the subject.
Experience in devising and teaching courses, and setting and assessing written work at postgraduate degree level.
Evidence of the ability to act as principal investigator or co-investigator.
