£30,727 - £33,843 (Whole Year working)
Breadalbane Academy, Aberfeldy

You will take a lead role in a team of skilled practitioners who support and respond to the individual needs of all children and families within the nursery.

Please note that this is a Whole Year working post, on the 45 week model, so involves working during part of the school holidays (1 week during the October and Easter holidays and 3 weeks during the summer holidays).

You must have SNNB/HNC/SVQ 3 in Childcare/Education or equivalent and be able to evidence additional studies e.g., PDA or modules from a relevant degree and have a commitment to work towards a qualification to allow registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Lead Practitioner e.g. BA Childhood Practice within SSSC timescales.

The Individual

You must be able to work on your own initiative and as a team member who directly contributes to and supports colleagues in the development of a flexible childcare and early education services, which is appropriate to the needs of young children and their families, within the context of both authority and nursery policies and procedures.

You will be able to think 'on your feet' and enjoy a varied role taking a lead in the organisation and management of a happy, busy nursery, putting children's needs first.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues alike.
