Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager in Intensive Service. Applicants should note that in addition to the management and development of intensive city wide services including: ISMS, ATR, Court Support, Stars, Diversion from Prosecution the Outdoor Resource Centre, Support and Intervention Team, Functional Family Therapy and Glasgow’s Intensive Family Support Service. We are looking for applicants who possess and demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of statutory responsibilities and relevant legislation along with an ability to lead and manage people and resources. The role will involve the review, reform and redesign of the current cohort of intensive city wide services. Consequently, experience in service review, reform and redesign would be desirable as would experience of change and programme management. Applicants must possess strong leadership skills and have substantial experience of people, financial and resource management, including performance management in an operational setting as well as being able to demonstrate a commitment to CPD. An ability to operate corporately across a range of systems would be necessary in tandem with assisting towards a single system of care and approach. Applicants must have a Health or Social Care Diploma / degree level qualification, supplemented by additional training, management qualifications, or equivalent management and leadership experience. Only existing employees of Glasgow City Council – Social Work Services within Children's Services already employed as a Service Manager can apply for this vacancy.These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
SSSC is also a requirement for this position.
