Purpose of Role:
The Dundee Institute for Healthcare Simulation seeks to appoint a lecturer in interprofessional education for clinical skills and simulation. The appointee would be expected to work in the Institute, and collaboratively with other Schools, to develop and deliver interprofessional simulation-based education for the undergraduate medical degree programme. This will involve the evaluation and improvement of existing learning activities as well as the development of new innovations. The post also seeks to enhance the Institute's research and Scholarship output in the field of interprofessional education.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribution to the development and delivery of undergraduate clinical skills teaching and assessment, particularly through the lens of interprofessional education.
- Initiate, design and pilot interprofessional innovations involving the different Schools across the University.
- Coordinate the design, implementation, and evaluation of an interprofessional simulation-based curriculum.
- Development of an education research portfolio related to interprofessional education and simulation.
- Contribution towards the centre's academic programme through the dissemination of research findings both nationally and internationally.
- Contribution towards the understanding of interprofessional education through the dissemination of research findings.
