Job Title: Assistant Financial Accountant

Salary: £15.30 PAYE
Length: Contract 12 months - Possibility of extension
Job Description:
• Completing account reconciliation, clearing balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis, and maintaining appropriate documentation to support audits.
• Resolving reconciling items from your own and colleague's reconciliation's in a timely manner and reporting discrepancies or potential fraud to senior management.
• Supporting data input on various accounting systems and contributing to the monthly close process.
• Preparing monthly journals, including the calculation of accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
• Monthly and yearly reporting in line with company deadlines, preparing financial statements that reflect the company’s financial position, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
• Qualified or studying towards AAT or equivalent (ideally level 4 or working towards level 4, but level 3/ Level 2 qualified will be considered).
• Intermediate level Excel skills (e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Desirable:
• Finance experience.
• Knowledge of SAP, Sage, or Oracle.
