Are you looking for an exciting role within a successful Parks and Countryside Service? This role could be for you!

We are looking for someone to create and deliver a community activity programme to support the Wardown Park National Lottery Heritage Fund Project to restore Wardown Park Lake and its natural heritage. The role will include a blend of hands-on community engagement work and include effective marketing and promotion of the programme to grow existing and new audiences.

You will also be responsible for planning an interesting programme to encourage engagement with the park’s heritage, biodiversity, and wildlife and provide work plans, guidance, support, training and supervision to project team members and volunteers to ensure quality project delivery.

Please note this role does not attract sponsorship.

About you
We are looking for someone with demonstrable knowledge of the Parks and Greenspace sector and with good knowledge of the heritage sector, nature conservation and key government and sector policy relevant to the role.

You’ll need to be an effective communicator and team player with experience of working with local communities and stakeholder groups and develop and maintain positive relationships with delivery partners and key stakeholders.

The role requires you to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the programme this may include attending evening and weekend events and meetings.

We do ask that you have an understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment.

This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English
