Description
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Cook to join our team at ... School as a cook for our secondary schools. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for students following strict guidelines and regulations. Your culinary skills will play a vital role in ensuring that our students receive the nourishment they need to thrive and succeed academically.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals for students, adhering to dietary restrictions and allergy guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
Collaborate with the cafeteria team to plan menus and develop new recipes
Follow food safety practices and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items
Assist in the setup and breakdown of serving areas
Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into the menu options
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook or chef
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and knowledge of different cuisines
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing menu requirements and dietary restrictions
Hours Per Week: 30.00
Start Time: 08:30
End Time: 14:30
Pay Per Hour: £13.47
