About the role:
As an Engineer Design and Manufacture Degree Apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating risks in design and manufacturing processes. Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, you'll bring concepts to life whilst testing and implementing necessary improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team on this journey of innovation and growth, making a tangible impact in the world of engineering.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Participating in engineering activities to define product requirements, create designs, perform simulation testing, and validate final hardware components
Identifying basic risks associated with a design and manufacture of products
Helping to maintain 6S methodology and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards
Creating Computer-Aided Design (CAD) concepts to design, develop, manufacture and test mechanical components
Troubleshooting rigs and implement fixes
Budgeting and forecasting cost associated with project execution

Training
About the apprenticeship…

Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer Apprenticeship with a specified external training provider. This will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively. This apprenticeship duration is approximately 5 years in duration.



Qualifications required
In order to apply you must have….

Minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths and STEM subject or equivalent (BTEC)
2 A Level grade C or above in Maths and a STEM based subject (Physics, Engineering, Science) or equivalent
The right to work in the UK 
Been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the course  
Left full time education when the apprenticeship you are applying for is due to start

Be able to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving
Have knowledge of CAD and modeling
Be able to use existing procedures to solve problems
Be able to research and analyze data effectively

Be well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers
