About the role
We are looking for a Finance Apprentice to support our growing Finance team whilst undertaking a value adding professional qualification.
The Finance Apprentice will support each of the 3 Finance functions:
Financial Operations
Financial Reporting
Purchasing
You will have the opportunity to learn how the work of the different functions combine to ensure that key deliverables are met on time and accurately.
The ideal candidate will be able to follow processes, have an interest in Finance, and a good eye for detail. They should be comfortable using IT (although training on our systems will be provided) and experience using Microsoft Excel would be useful (but will also be taught).
This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice to join the Finance team and to undertake a Level 2 Accounts/ Finance Assistant Apprenticeship.
What you will be doing –
Providing day-to-day support for the finance functions covering tasks such as:
Supplier invoice processing
Supplier payment preparation
Cash book posting
Customer billing
Purchasing from key suppliers
Stock control reporting
Sales order processing
Fleet maintenance
Other month end reporting tasks
Supported study towards a relevant Finance qualification
You will suit the role if you have -
An eye for detail
An ability to follow process
An interest in problem solving
A willingness to learn new things
An interest in finance
A minimum of Grade 5 GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
