Summary

Based in Weybridge we are close to the London borders, enjoying excellent transport links to and from London. Our bright modern offices are also based within touching distance of a large retail park with great shopping opportunities. About the Role As a Social Worker in Surrey, you will work across various unique projects that ensure that the people we support can enjoy a home of their own, an environment in which they are supported to live a healthy & meaningful lifestyle. You will be undertaking safeguarding enquiries, carrying out assessments within the community and working with a diverse group of individuals and partner agencies. You will be able to supervise less experienced members of staff within the team and support their development. Shortlisting Criteria To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

• Professional qualification in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England
• Successful completion of an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme if qualified as a social worker after June 2012
• Your sound knowledge and experience of current legislation, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act and its application in a social care setting.
• Your ability to communicate in a clear, fluent, concise and jargon free way and in a courteous, calm and professional manner.

Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
