Summary

We are currently seeking an interim PART TIME Consumer Studies Supervisor, to work with our global FMCG client, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based at our client's scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months requiring 22.5 hours per week (3 days Tue-Thur). Compensation for this role is £12.67 per hour (£24,700) per annum pro rate FTE).

As part of the new consumer facility in Port Sunlight we will have the opportunity to run consumer studies on-site - in particular, we will be running dishwash and fabric conditioner studies, where we will get panellists to come in and assess products. The recruiting of panellists will fall under the core team, but the interaction with individual panellists, placement of products, collection of data etc. will require a dedicated panel supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • The panel supervisor will be responsible for implementing the studies designed by the CTI team member. This will involve the following:
  • Sample preparation (this can be a product or pieces of fabric, etc.)
  • Distribution of appropriate samples to panellists (whether it is posting or handing them in)
  • Meeting and greeting panellists on arrival and explaining the test logistics
  • Supervising the panellist during the test in case they need help
  • Sorting out any issues with electronic data collection
  • Doing simple data analysis following the end of the test.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Good people skills are essential as the role involves constant interaction with panellists. The role holder must be able to put panellists at ease and help them if necessary.
  • We are looking for excellent organisation skills so that all tests can be run in time and in an orderly manner. Flows of panellists must be managed on busy days.
  • Some basic IT skills are desirable - the role holder will be taught how to use certain applications, but they must be comfortable with electronic devices such as tablets for running the applications.
