Summary

Pocket Geek Tech Repair is looking for a IT Engineer to join our team for their Perth & Dundee stores. The engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients.
Qualification Requirements
• At least 3-5 years of experience in an electronics or mobile phone repair industry.
• Diploma/Degree in Electronics or equivalent qualification
• Reliable transportation to and from work locations
• Good customer service skills and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Computer proficiency, knowledge of computer applications, and basic computer skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Not Compulsory)
• Basic understanding of wireless technologies.

Job Responsibilities:
• Installs, tests, and maintains computer-related hardware (processors, memory chips, circuit boards, displays, sensors, data storage devices, printers, etc.).
• Diagnoses hardware-related faults for Mac & Windows laptops. Repairs or replaces defective components in Smartphones, iPad, Tablets. Diagnose liquid damaged devices like smartphones, tablets & advises on and installs operating soft/firm ware and may carry out upgrades.
• Utilize soldering skills to perform intricate soldering tasks and rework on electronic components.
• Be able to carry out common problems such as Backlight, Power, Sound and Charging Issues

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, employing a systematic approach to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and best practices, ensuring the continuous improvement of repair processes.
• Accurately document repair activities, including test results, procedures, and any modifications made during the repair process.
• Adhere to industry standards, safety guidelines, and quality control procedures to ensure the highest level of workmanship
• Maintains documentation to track and log work in progress and completed.

Part-time hours: 25-35Hours per week
Salary: £13.00-£15.00 per hour (Depends on Experience)
