The Specialised Services Division is seeking a part-time Divisional Financial Manager (DFM) to join our senior leadership team.

The Division delivers a wide range of clinical services including Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac Intensive Care, Cardiology, Oncology, Haematology, Radiotherapy, End of Life Care, Bone Marrow Transplant and Clinical Genetics, employing c. 1,320 WTE staff and managing an annual budget of c. £172 million.

We also have a strong research focus, hosting a Cardiovascular Research Centre and Haematology & Oncology Clinical Trials Unit.

The DFM is a key member of the Divisional Management Team, delivering a comprehensive financial management service, leading the development of the business aspects of the Division’s operating plan and identifying and responding to new business development opportunities. This includes providing strategic business leadership for the Division and ensuring a holistic approach is adopted, forging links between income, expenditure, workforce, activity and achievement of performance targets.

The Divisional Financial will be required to ensure that corporate financial objectives are delivered within the Division as well as representing the Trust at regional and national forums relating to the Division’s clinical services. The post holder’s expert and specialist financial management skills will be deployed to support the clinical leadership of the Division.
