We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team. As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations and ensuring that our guests' rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. Care Home experience is preferred, however if you have a strong background in hotel housekeeping and possess excellent leadership skills, we would still love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that they adhere to established cleaning procedures and standards
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient and timely completion of work
- Inspect residents rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, making sure that all areas meet or exceed our high standards
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Handle complaints or concerns regarding housekeeping services, resolving issues promptly and effectively
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for housekeeping staff, providing feedback and coaching for improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hotel housekeeping
Skills:
- Previous experience in care home housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, techniques, and equipment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
