Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Alterations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment alterations and have excellent sewing skills to provide high-quality alterations and tailoring services.
Duties:
- Perform fittings and alterations on various types of garments including party dresses, wedding dresses, suits, trousers, skirts, and more
- Take accurate measurements to ensure precise alterations
- Sew, hem, stitch, and adjust clothing as per customer requests
- Provide expert advice on garment alterations and recommend appropriate modifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Alterations Specialist or similar role
- Excellent at using sewing machines and other tailoring tools
- Good at mending jeans patches, button work, shorten, take in waste, and let out.
- Strong knowledge of different fabrics and garment construction techniques
- Attention to detail and precision in altering garments to meet customer specifications
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers effectively
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with bridal or formal and casual wear
- Good in the fitting room, to get measurements
- Speaks English
