We are looking for a enthusiastic new team member to join our Vascular team at Royal Preston Hospital.

We are looking for a qualified Nursing Associate/Assistant Practitioner, who has a passion for providing high quality patient focused care for our surgical patients who have a flexible attitude towards work and a desire for new challenges.

You will gain valuable experience & will develop wound assessment knowledge and wound care management skills. Pre & Post operative Vascular specialised care, knowledge & skills are transferable to any area of your nursing career.

General duties will include Vascular pre and post operative care, checks. Develop a mass amount of wound care knowledge and skills.

An interest in Vascular speciality would be beneficial

As a Band 4 in the Vascular Department you will receive direct support from senior nursing colleagues to develop and enhance your skills. Enabling you to nurse a cohort of patients and be responsible for their pre and post op care.

Contribute to the assessment, implementation and evaluation of care to meet patients’ needs in accordance with agreed local and national standards and evidence based guidelines under supervision.

Support and provide patient education and health promotion.

Support the delivery and co-ordination of care, through appropriate professional practice.

Contribute to the management of risk and maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.

Communicate all relevant information to the multidisciplinary team internally and with external organisations as required, to ensure seamless care.

Maintain accurate and complete records of all care activities, in a timely manner, adhering to local and professional standards for documentation.
