We are now recruiting for a Housing Strategy Officer to join our team. As part of the Regeneration and Housing Strategy business unit, you will assist in the provision of a high quality and efficient Strategic Housing function working with a knowledgeable and passionate team to develop your skills and experience in this area.

Working with the Senior Housing Strategy and Development Officer, the wider team and Council, the key focus for this role will be:
• Assisting in the provision of a high quality and efficient Strategic Housing function for the District Council area which maximises the benefits of growth, prosperity & investment for the district.
• Increasing the supply and choice of affordable housing to meet local need and manage the impact of housing growth.
• Assessing local housing and related needs of all residents and communities across the district.
• Supporting the administrative management of strategic projects.
• Communicating the potential benefits of affordable housing developments to all relevant stakeholders such as Elected Members, local residents, and developers.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and/or have demonstrable experience of working in a housing related environment. You will also have a genuine passion for and desire to deliver an affordable housing strategy. You will have effective communication skills, a tactful and diplomatic approach, and excellent research and problem-solving skills.
