Crynodeb
My client is a global Chinese bank with over a half century of presence in London and billions in assets under management. They are seeking an ambitious and innovative professional who is passionate about corporate banking. The successful candidate will take a leading role with the team head in growing and delivering the bank's expansion plan in developing new relationships within different asset classes, ie, M&A, IG and PF.
The team currently focuses on developing business opportunities with both UK domestic and European businesses with a growing link to the Chinese market. You will be looking to help grow these markets and develop new business.
The role will entail assisting the Loan Origination & Syndication desk in sourcing new business opportunities and marketing, with a focus on large cap investment grade corporate clients, participating in syndicated loans, underwriting transactions and providing value-adding solutions to clients. The desk also has the ability to build its own ad hoc book in line with the Bank's risk appetite.
This position provides an exciting opportunity to work within a small team and quickly adapt to cover a broad area of duties within the Corporate Banking department.
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or related finance industry.
Solid credit management experience within Corporate Banking.
A good understanding of corporate financing activities and products and services;
Working knowledge of EU Syndicated Loans;
Good understanding of Credit Risk and Corporate Financial Analysis
Good ability to understand corporate financing structures and loan documentation.
