Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Leasehold Officer to join our Home Ownership Department. As a Leasehold Officer, you will be responsible for managing the leasehold portfolio and providing expert advice and support to leaseholders and tenants. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

In this role, you will handle a diverse range of tasks, including reviewing and monitoring leasehold agreements, handling enquires and disputes, managing service charge budgets, and coordinating maintenance and repairs. You will also conduct regular property inspections, prepare monthly reports, and support leaseholders in understanding their rights and responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of leasehold management and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You should have a track record of delivering high-quality customer service and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks are also vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities
Manage the leasehold portfolio, including reviewing agreements, monitoring compliance, and ensuring accuracy of records.
Provide expert advice and guidance to leaseholders and tenants on all aspects of leasehold management, including rights and responsibilities.
Handle and resolve complaints, disputes, and enquiries from leaseholders, tenants, and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate and manage service charge budgets, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, invoicing, and collection.
Oversee maintenance and repairs for leasehold properties, liaising with contractors, solicitors, and other relevant parties as required.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with leasehold agreements and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
Prepare monthly reports on leasehold management activities, including financial statements, arrears, and service charge expenditure.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of experience in leasehold management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of leasehold legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally handle sensitive and complex situations.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Proficient in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and property management databases.
Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to delivering excellent service to leaseholders and tenants.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders.
