Cheeki Monkeys are looking for Home Based Event Organisers to run monthly Baby & Children's Markets in your own local community.


Be your own boss, working hours that fit around your family commitments; part-time, full-time, daytime or evenings the choice is yours!


WHAT ARE CHEEKI MONKEYS BIG BABY & CHILDREN'S MARKETS?

Cheeki Monkeys BIG Baby & Children's Markets are indoor community events for the whole family, where mums & dads can buy or sell quality, gently used babies' and children's toys, clothes and equipment. These pop-up baby markets are becoming increasingly popular; they are very much like car boot sales but held indoors and aimed at the family market, regularly attracting hundreds of shoppers!


WHAT IS INVOLVED IN RUNNING A MARKET?

As an Events Organiser, your task will be to:


  • Locate and book local venues to hold your markets.

  • Promote and market your events online and offline via non-paid channels to attract stallholders and shoppers.

  • Manage your events on market days.


WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL EVENTS ORGANISER?

NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED as we will guide you through every step of the process of setting up your own Cheeki Monkeys BIG Baby & Children's Markets, from locating venues to how to advertise the events with really clear step by step instructions. We will help you to reproduce our thriving and lucrative events and develop your own Cheeki Monkeys BIG Baby & Children's Markets.


Most of your work will involve marketing your events online (using Facebook etc.), therefore access to the internet is a MUST HAVE! Most of your enquiries from both stallholders and shoppers will be via email or social media messages, although you will also need to have the ability to take telephone enquiries, this can be via a landline or mobile.


Having good computer skills and being confident using the internet will be an advantage, although we will provide you with detailed instructions on what and where to advertise.


Age and gender are unimportant and you don't need to have a driving licence or any qualifications. Being helpful, friendly and welcoming are the most essential attributes required to succeed as an Events Organiser.


WHAT ARE MY SET-UP COSTS?

To keep your expenditure to a minimum, we have developed an off the shelf simple and affordable package which allows you to set-up your own ready-made business.


Your all-inclusive Marketing and Operations Manual may be purchased at a cost of £150, however purchase of this is not obligatory.


Our in-depth Marketing and Operations Manual is precious to us and has been compiled in meticulous detail. It reveals all our secrets to success and contains many hints and tips that we don't want to randomly disclose. As a result, we don't want to be sending this out indiscriminately. Paying for the manual demonstrates that you are serious about becoming an Event Organiser with Cheeki Monkeys.


By following the instructions within the manual you could be holding your first event within 4 weeks.


PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE is a necessity to run any type of events, it is not purchased through Cheeki Monkeys but we can recommend independent insurance providers. The cost of full cover for one year is approximately the equivalent of £8 per month. This policy will insure ALL your events for up to 1 million pounds each.


VENUE HIRE: You will need some funds to pay deposits for your venues upfront (typically £20-50).


ONGOING MANAGEMENT FEES

Our on-going management fees are 25% deducted from your stall fees income.


As we take a percentage fee rather than a fixed monthly fee or fee per market, we have an ongoing interest in the success of your markets and we continue to work with you to make sure your events are a success. Put simply we don't earn any money if you don't!


FLEXIBLE HOURS - FULL TIME INCOME

The great thing about being an Event Organiser is that your hours of work are not monitored. The amount of time you put into promoting your events is at your discretion. Therefore, your income will depend on how many markets you run per year and how much effort you put in to promoting them. Full details about your HIGH potential earnings will be provided upon application.
