Summary
An exiting opportunity has arisen at our Blackburn site for a Warehouse Process Manager to join an exciting contract. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure that all matters affecting the production and processing of activity through the site are carried out effectively and in line with key performance indicators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and motivate the team to maintain and improve the production process and associated administrative systems.
- Effective planning of workload/volumes and best utilise the labour resource to meet customer expectations.
- Accountable for the Warehouse operations on a shift by shift basis.
- Actively involve support functions (i.e. Stocks) in achieving Warehouse targets and goals.
- Identify any training requirements through regular, formal, and informal reviews and agree the provision of any training with the General Manager.
- Effectively deploy resource to achieve operational KPI’s (cost, quality and service).
- Leading from the front in demonstrating a pro-active approach to risk management and adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
- Full site accountability in the absence of any senior management team (i.e. GM, Ops Manager).
- Carry out effective planning of workload/volumes and best utilize the labour resource to meet customer expectations
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the customer to reach effective resolution of problems.
- Maintain and develop the partnership with all site contracts.
- Ensure adherence to site procedures/standards via Team Leader involvement and audit process.
- Carry out duties in line with business Health & Safety policies and procedures. To support the Company objectives and the customers’ requirements
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, logistics or supply chain
- Line Management experience with effective communication and people skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement programmes and can demonstrate an appreciation of key methodologies and approaches
- PC literate and numerate
- High level of self-awareness and takes accountability for own development
- Experience of change management processes including successful delivery of change
- Demonstrable exemplary customer relationship management skills with the flexibility in style, approach to manage several clients with varying requirements at the same time
As a Process Manager you will be rewarded with:
