Job summary
The post holder will have responsibility, with the deputy managers, for leading the management, monitoring and co-ordination of the in-house portering team and will be an on-site expert in portering matters proving support to front line staff in ED and across the Trust.
The post holder will be an experienced portering professional who will act as a competent person for the Trust by advising and monitoring of portering incidents.
The role meets the need to provide day to day operational management support to the General Manager and to the staff within the Portering Department with the aim of ensuring that from a non-clinical perspective the specialty is running effectively and efficiently. The post holder is also part of a wider team within the Facilities Department.
