Main duties of the job
Every baby, child, young person and family
are different, every conversation and everything we put into place for our
families is supported with an individualised plan of care. You will have a wonderful opportunity to work

You will have excellent clinical skills, be a good
communicator and strive to make a difference in creative and demonstrable ways.
As a Registered Nurse it is essential that you hold a
first or second level registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and in addition, would be
advantageous to possess post registration experience in a childrens, community
palliative care setting. Flexibility is essential as the working hours are based on an internal
rotation which includes days, nights and weekends and as the care we provide is
predominantly in the community, access to a vehicle is essential, as is a full
driving licence.

- Previous experience of supporting students and junior members of staff.
- Demonstration of palliative care experience/nursing children with life threatening and life limiting conditions including children with special needs.
- Previous experience working with children with tracheostomies and/or requiring long term ventilation.
- Experience with intravenous line care and therapies including parenteral nutrition.
