Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate clinical pharmacist to join our expanding integrated pharmacy team. You will become part of a unique team in a highly patient focused role.The post is based at Glan Clwyd Hospital within the Central Integrated Healthcare Community (CIHC) which has undergone an extensive redevelopment programme including a new modern, pharmacy department. The CIHC hosts several specialist regional services such as the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, North Wales Cardiac Centre and The Sub Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Centre (SuRNICC).
Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings within the Integrated Health Community, including secondary care, primary care, community hospitals and community resource teams. As a clinical pharmacist, you will have direct involvement in patient care and influence treatment choices by being involved in decision-making at the point of prescribing, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be provided with opportunities to develop your skills in a variety of clinical specialities (Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Quarter, Sterile Production unit and the Cancer Centre) during your training.The role provides an excellent foundation to further develop your skills in the future and there will be opportunities to undertake additional education programmes e.g Post Registration Foundation Programmes.
