Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the urology investigations unit for a Clinical Support Worker to join our well-established multidisciplinary team.

We provide a high standard of care, to a wide range of patients in the outpatient setting. The role involves working across sites at Salford Royal and Pendleton Gateway.

The urology investigations unit offers a full range of investigations and treatments to patients with various urological conditions

The role will involve you working alongside and supporting the doctors andspecialist nurses in a variety of clinics.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual who would be accountable for providing high standards of care in a fast-paced setting

You'll be someone who understands the importance of showing care, consideration and respect to the patients but also applies these qualities to your team members

You would need to possess good communication skills, and basic IT skills with a willingness to learn new skills. The successful candidate will be trained and supported in their development by the registered nurses and the Band 2's and Band 3's.

You will play an important role in helping to facilitate and support the smooth running of the clinics working alongside the Drs and NursesYou will chaperone the Drs and nurses when they undertake intimate examinations and invasive procedures ensuring privacy and dignity is maintained

Your role will be responsible for preparing the equipment for the various investigations using an aseptic non-touch technique whilst providing support to both the patient and the clinicianThe role would require you to undertake venepuncture, record clinical observations and perform dipstick urinalysis'

You will need to be flexible with your working hours when required. Our current hours of opening are Monday to Friday 08.00-18:00
