£12. Mileage rate: 45p
Are you looking for an interesting and varied role?
My son is a fun loving 24-year-old with a great sense of humour who loves baking. He is currently undertaking work experience at a bakery. Your role will involve travelling to the bakery with him, to work alongside him once there, and then travel with him to his choir group, before bringing him back home.
Someone who is bubbly, cool with a sense of fun will be a must as he can be quite shy conversationally.
Having Downs Syndrome and being on the Autistic spectrum has not held him back from enjoying all sorts of challenges, sports and adventures, he is always willing to give anything a try. Part of the extra flexible hours are to support him to meet up with his friends, suggest and assist him to carry out new activities and experiences. Along the way, your assistance in some personal care will be required to help him maintain his independence.
Duties include:
- Suggest and assist with new activities and experiences.
Candidate qualities:
- Good conversationalist
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
