Job summary

This role is full time 37.5 hours per week. The purpose of the Care Support Worker is to be part of a team, working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to deliver care and provide a range of activities to meet the assessed needs of the Children & Young Adults who access the service and to support their families with that care.

Main duties of the job

You must:

  • have a minimum of 18 months experience working with children/young adults with complex health needs in an education, health or social care setting.
  • a full driving licence is essential as the role involves driving a Hospice minibus.
  • effective communication skills and an ability to record information accurately & concisely.
  • have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
  • have flexibility to cover a range of shifts over a 24 hour / 7 day rota.
