Job summary

If youre a Pharmacist looking for a specialist role within Frailty and Healthcare for Older People services, but outside the norm, we would love to hear from you. The post holder will work in alignment with our Healthcare for Older People and Frailty Teams, providing Specialist Pharmacy input. As the role evolves there will naturally be opportunities for involvement with a wider breadth of Healthcare for Older People Services. We are a Trust that prides itself on the development of its people and will be able to offer the opportunity to train in Frailty Services, the opportunity for leadership training, involvement in research, teaching and the potential to shape and develop the role and service as a Lead Pharmacist for Healthcare for Older people based at North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) in Barnstaple.

Our pharmacy services are now integrated providing core services to a population of 615,000 across Devon.

Our Pharmacy department is friendly, successful and ambitious. The Royal Devon is committed to developing services in Barnstaple and wants to bring the very best Pharmacists to Devon. This is an exciting new role based within the Healthcare for Older people and different to a normal Pharmacy working routine. Youll be well supported and have the opportunity to develop specialist Frailty knowledge and training as well as to influence the wider development of the service.
