Job summary

Ludham & Stalham Green Surgeries has a fantastic opportunity for an advanced nurse practitioner to join our friendly team, on a part-time basis of 20 hours per week, although hours can be flexible. We are delighted to offer a Golden Hello payment to the successful candidate and the possibility of Fellowship opportunities. The ANP will share the workload & responsibility with GPs by assessing patients with undifferentiated & undiagnosed problems, making assessment of their needs, implementing, evaluating & prescribing programmes of care & referring as appropriate.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensuring access & delivery of primary care clinical services to the practice population.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, planning treatment & care, implementing, prescribing, referring, & evaluating programmes of care
  • Participating in clinical supervision & actively participate in meetings
  • Providing professional & clinical advice
  • Promoting evidence-based practice
  • Participating in teaching & mentoring nursing students & other health professionals & nursepractitioner degree students
  • Being aware of & ensuring clinical governance & risk management for the practice.
  • Actively promoting & supporting development of integrated working in collaboration with other primary care professionals
  • Ensuring effective liaison with other health professionals, services & agencies to enable the delivery of integrated patient focused service.

Essential

  • A relevant nursing degree.
  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
  • Recognised Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent training.
  • Independent prescribing qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of CPD.
  • Nurse revalidation.
  • Time management including the ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to identify, work through and resolve problems.
  • Ability to recognise matters of confidential nature and respect as such.
  • Ability to work within and adapt to a changing environment
  • Ability to work between both sites and provide home visits as required
  • Proactive can do attitude.
  • Safe and effective clinical practice remaining within boundaries of competence and limitations.
