Job summary

Are you passionate about mental health care and looking for an exciting opportunity to join a supportive community mental health team? Look no further!

This role carries an incentive premium of £3,500 which will be paid in instalments over an 18th month period. Please note that this scheme is not open to existing employees of Oxford Health and is subject to a claw back clause.

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to become part of our dedicated Community Mental Health Team. Based at either Saffron House or Amersham Health Centre, our team is committed to providing exceptional care and treatment to adults with mental health challenges. Our goal is to deliver patient-centered care of the highest quality, while supporting our staff in their roles and fostering their professional growth.

As part of the Chiltern CMHT Adult Mental Health Team, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes medical professionals, psychological therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, RMNs, and support workers. .

Your work will be guided by a skilled leadership team consisting of professionals from various fields. They will provide support and facilitate forums for Nursing and Occupational Therapists, ensuring your development remains at the forefront. Regular supervision will be offered, and you will be encouraged to undertake relevant training to further enhance your professional growth.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will be part of a close-knit team working together to deliver exceptional care to our patients.

We are looking for someone who works well in a team, but also has the ability to work independently using their own initiative. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of mental health and the impact this can have on a person's wellbeing.

You will need to be organised, flexible and committed to delivering the highest possible care to our client group. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as good lT skills, are essential. Ideally, you will have experience working in adult mental health services and understand the challenges that working with this client group brings.   • Experience of working with the mental health service users in a variety of settings
  • Experience of working collaboratively with carers to meet both the needs of the carer and the user.
