Job summary
12 Month Fixed Term - Band 7 Project Nurse Occupational Health, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are excited to recruit an experienced Occupational Health Practitioner to join our team as a Band 7 Project Nurse for a 12 month fixed term contract full time.
The Occupational Health Services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are on an improvement journey so this is an exciting time to join the service. We are about to introduce a new Occupational Health computer system which will transform how we deliver the service and we are also in the final stages of planning to build a new purpose built Occupational Health Hub.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to work with the Head of Occupational Health to set up new processes and practices, develop clinical guidelines and pathways and support the whole occupational health team to implement the new computer system. The main focus for this new role will be to lead on quality improvement projects in Occupational Health.

Main duties of the job
Candidates should have substantial experience at band 6 or above within Occupational Health and have a recognised Occupational Health qualification. The post holder will have in-depth specialist knowledge of occupational health and experience of quality improvement methods with a proven track record for implementing change. Excellent communication and team working skills and a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential. As is a drive to deliver Occupational Health differently, the ability to challenge old ways of thinking and the ambition to continuously improve the service. The successful candidate will also have dedicated time allocated for caseload management to maintain their Occupational Health skills.
About us
The Occupational Health Team currently includes two Consultants in Occupational Health and a group of nurses in bands 5 and 7, Occupational Therapist, a sessional psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist as well as a supportive administrative team. There is a robust health and wellbeing offer for staff including an EAP and physiotherapy service.
Our Occupational Health service has a new leadership team, who are dedicated to improving the service we provide.
