The postholder will contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Trust's operational risk management strategy, Health and Safety policy and related work and they will provide the Trust with specialist advice and guidance on Health and Safety matters.

The postholder will be responsible for developing, implementing, facilitating and promoting both Health and Safety and Violence and Abuse Prevention and Reduction (VAPR) and Security in the Trust under the direction of the Head of Corporate Health and Safety and VAPR. To provide competent advice demonstrating a well-informed knowledge base of the legislative and regulatory frameworks including NHS national and local guidelines ensuring compliance.

The postholder will be responsible for supporting teams and services across the Trust carrying out H&S / VAPR related incidents investigations, designing and delivering training, developing policies undertaking risk assessments/inspections and advising on solutions, remedial actions and mitigations.

The role will require you to be responsible to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Trust's operational Health & Safety and VAPR strategy, Health and Safety policy, Violence and Abuse Prevention and Reduction strategies/policies and provide the Trust with specialist advice and guidance on Health and Safety, Violence Abuse Prevention and Reduction and security related matter
