Job summary

Clare Lodge is a secure children's home located on the outskirts of Peterborough. We work within a trauma informed model of care with a group of children (12-18 females only) who have been placed by the courts in order to secure their welfare and improve their overall wellbeing.

The unit is run by the local authority and we operate as a in reach health team commissioned by NHSE and located onsite. Our work has developed over the past 2 years and we now have a large multi- disciplinary team consisting of Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, AHP's and admin support. We are a supportive, friendly, and committed team working within a wider team of local authority and education staff and we are looking for a like minded CNS to take a lead on trauma informed physical healthcare within the setting and join us in helping us achieve positive outcomes for the children placed with us.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of the multi-disciplinary psychology Led Healthcare In-Reach team to provide evidence based physical health assessment and treatment to young people aged between 12-17 in a secure welfare setting, as part of a seven day a week rota service.The post holder will assertively engage with young people through direct work as well as with the young person's local and wider professional network to identify and manage physical health needs of the young person.The post holder will act as the health professional responsible in ensuring good physical health for the young person and improving future long term health outcome.
