Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals Pharmacy department are seeking an exceptional, influential and highly experienced Pharmacist to lead our Clinical Pharmacy team of around 200 Pharmacy Professionals.

If you are an accomplished, authentic and caring Pharmacy leader with significant experience of delivering and leading clinical pharmacy services, we would be delighted to speak to you about any element of the post or to arrange an informal visit.

Main duties of the job

Under the leadership of the Chief Pharmacist and working as part of our Pharmacy Leadership Team you will be the Pharmacy Department's strategic lead for Clinical Pharmacy Services. The successful candidate will also act in conjunction with other Assistant Heads of Pharmacy in taking delegated responsibility for the Chief Pharmacist in their absence.

You will manage an incredible team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Assistants and will be supported by the Pharmacy and Divisional Leadership Teams who want to see our team thrive and enjoy coming to work.

You will act as a role model for Clinical Pharmacy and will be responsible for developing and embedding Advanced Pharmacy practice within the Trust and working collaboratively with strategic partners to develop the role of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants within the team.

You will be supported to develop your knowledge and leadership skills and will be encouraged to develop a national profile and promote and undertake practice-based research in a field of your choice.
