Plant Preparation Labourer
Hours: 39.5 hrs basic Monday – Thursday 0630-1545 / Friday 0630-1230
Salary: £12.54 / hr entry level rising with experience.
Location: Bury
Our large Manufacturing client based in Bury is looking for a Plant Preparation Labourer to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
As a Plant Preparation Labourer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly.
Duties:
- Working on 24x9 storage container shells, adapting to daily workloads with precision.
- You will be required to undertake the role of abrasive blasting to meet the requirements of the department.
- Full training will be given to those who do not have the required skills.
- Your keen eye for detail and knowledge of maintaining a clean work environment will be invaluable.
- Pre-paint preparation following the sandblasting process is a key responsibility, involving tasks such as scraping out old sealant, panel wiping, using an abrasive sander, and sealing joints before painting.
- To interpret production schedules and working examples, to achieve the finish required for our products, in line with safety, quality and delivery standards,
- To maintain a safe working environment, highlighting any concerns and assisting to better our environment,
- To maintain and use handheld sanding tools and machinery to be recognised best practice.
- Operate and maintain Industrial Sand Blasting Equipment when required.
- The ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major or minor changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, or requirements.
