A fantastic opportunity has arisen for 3 full-time activity coordinators to join our well-established team at Lynfield Mount Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The vacancies will be available on a male or female acute ward for adults aged 18-65 who are experiencing acute mental illness. There is also a vacancy on a mixed 10bed PICU.
As an activity co-ordinator you will work within the occupational therapy team to assist in the delivery of meaningful activity on the ward and within the local community, and support recovery and transition from hospital to home. You will work collaboratively with the wider MDT both on the ward and in the community. In addition, you will be involved in the service development at the unit.
The role will include evening and weekend working comprising of 7.5 hour shifts with relevant pay enhancements as applicable. We are seeking an innovative individual, able to work collaboratively with service users and staff, and integrate well into the multidisciplinary team on the ward
