Job summary

You will be an enthusiastic and experienced nurse, with Community experience a warm personality and great people skills. You will need leadership experience and be able to demonstrate innovative practice.

Showing effective management skills, you will take responsibility for the day to day running of the community nursing service.

Main duties of the job

Day to day management of Community Nursing service

  • Supporting staff to develop and enhance their capabilities
  • Supporting colleagues in the delivery of compassionate, safe and structured care
  • Work innovatively to ensure Community Service is fit for challenges and future demands
  • Plan and provide treatment in collaboration with others as appropriate

Education/Qualifications/Training

Essential

  • Registered Nurse - Adult
  • Specialist Practitioner qualification (DN Degree, diploma or Certificate in District Nursing) or equivalent clinical experience and leadership qualification

Desirable

  • Non-Medical Prescriber /Nurse Prescriber Qualification

Continuous Professional Development

  • Active on the Mentor register
  • Evidence of Leadership & Management development
